I just saw these midevil looking spheres on the cabelas site and was wondering if/how well they work. If there is positive feedback, I may have to order a couple.

Im thinking those are for people who do not have X-mas tree's to sink!
But they will last for a LONG TIME, and are suposed to be snagproof??
X-mas tree's last 2-3 years befor collapsing, and storing them tree's till the ice is out is always messy!

For farm ponds and private lakes, I guess they would work, but they would be illegal to put into any Michigan waterway without a permit from the DNR.
