Please age this deer/explicit

My son took this doe on 12-29 too a dnr checkstation in the rain and dnr didn't want to check head and gave son a patch. I don't want to burn a dnr officer but I would like to know the age of his doe. She came from an area that has given up a 7 and 1/2 and a 8 and 1/2 year old doe in the last couple seasons.
Every time iv'e taken a deer to this check station they have done a exceptional job. I am in a tb zone.
Anyhow, please let me know what your guess is. Thanks

Hard to see what is needed to age them somewhat accurately but there's a lot of dentene (sp) so I'd put her 3.5+.

cut the bottom jaw all the way off and take that to any check station. Even though it has already been checked, any biologist would be willing to give their opinion on age

cut the two bottom incisors out and you'll know alot more about how old it is than those DNR officers can tell you.

i was just at cabelas in dearborn i think and i saw in the archery/auto RV section a deer aging kit so in the feuture u would b able 2 age ur own deer. :-)

I would have to say that she has been chewin Skoal for the past two years judging by the gums and teeth. So if she started chewin when she was 1.5 that would make her 3.5.:lol:
