My dad visited our property up in omer on Sunday, he couldnt stay long because of the lack of power but in the short time he was there he found 7 some what deer carcasses. There was one deer carcass along crawford on our neighbors property, another deer carcass with the hind quarters missing and was hit pretty good by coyotes and then 5 burlap bags full of intestines and parts of deer thrown down noggle rd.

The deer with the hind quarters missing was on our property and no neighbors have been up to hunt and then the 5 were as far as we know just disposed of improperly.

I see that a lot on state land that we hunt,I dont know why people think that it is OK to dump that stuff.I put mine out with the trash, its a lot easier than carting it around looking for a place to dump it

Lets Face it, There are alot of DUMB People out there( I would say hunters but that they are not)
The state land I hunt at has a few parking areas---I dont hunt on opening day there but a few days later I get to see all the camping Hunters garbage all around the parking area. Where is the DNR?

in da plane, in da plane:lol:! Seriously Arenac Co. has more than their share of nightime poachers and illegal dumpers. It is a large hunting area with few roads in some areas; the dnr is spread thin and does the best that it can do under the circumstances. Arenac is also an exceptionally poor area at the moment; not an excuse, but a reason that a few do this.

I have a couple grouse hunting spots that look like a little piece of West Virginia just fell from the sky. Old washing machines, sofa's, and shingles. People are slobs plain and simple.

:coolgleam There's a spot north of DeCheau Lake, about 3-4 miles north of Atlanta, that has an overgrown dropoff on the side of the road...and there's so many old appliances down there it looks like an ABC Warehouse clearance sale! Terrible! :fish:

Had a problem with deer carcasses being dumped on my place a couple years ago. The guy that dumped it made one big mistake, he left some other garbage as well and I was able to locate a scrap of paper with a phone number on it in the trash pile.
Called the RAP line and had an officer over the next day. He was able to use the paper with the phone number to contact the "dumper", get a confession, and had him clean up the mess. I never had another problem with dumped deer carcasses after that, but I did have my pole building broken into not long after that confrontation. Fortunately they didn't get much of value.

See it every year some where, deer parts in a parking lot or on the side of the road its disgusting. It sure doesn't make all of us deer hunters look very good to bad that a few do it.

I agree, State land and back roads around here get the same thing and come spring all you can see just before you start your walk into the woods is several rib cages and assorted bones everywhere. Why not just through them out with your trash or see if a processor will allow you to dump your carcass in their trash.
Every time I find dumped deer remains I always check to see if the idiot left his tag anywhere on the animal, easy enough to forget to remove it if you obviously don't give a darn.
