Personally I will never buy anything made from Stealthcam again. They have no service/repair options. They just simply replace it but if you warranty is out you are dead out of luck. I also found their customer service people should be working at a fast food joint. No brains or consideration for your hard earned money spent on their products. Just my 2 cents, take it or leave it.

I wasnt gonna jump in on this one but, customer service with StealthCam is A-1 Awful. I have sent them numerous letters with a problem I have had with the I550. No response after the 5th letter but, I did get a sale promotion from them.

110% I DO NOT reccomend the StealthCam line of anything.

I am the only person I know who actually bought an epic.

I thought the idea of the stealthcam epic was interesting so I bought one and IT WAS HORRIBLE!!! I opened it up and started walking around the house and then taking videos outside but the footage was dark, blurry and just flat out sucks. I took it back to Bass Pro the next day. Do not waste your time with the eipic.

I have an I550 too. The camera seems to be alright except for the fact that it eats batteries. I put in 6 new batteries and got 3 pictures before the low battery light was on. I called stealthcam on this and they told me that 1-2 weeks is all I should get out of a set of batteries.

To Whom It May Concern,

I purchased the Stealth Cam I550 with great expectations. I took it to our hunting property which is a 3 hour round trip. I set it up on a very active deer trail and returned a week later. This was prior to our southern Michigan baiting ban and they went through all the corn I had put out but, did not retrieve a single picture. Giving the camera the benefit of the doubt and questioning my set up, I checked everything and let it take my picture and double checked it with my digital camera that it had indeed taken a picture. I went back a week later, took a day off of work to set up for my daughter's youth hunt. This time there were 5 pictures. Very sad indeed, since I have been hunting this property for a few years and on any given night 30 deer will use this trail. I left the camera and again returned a week later with my daughter for her hunt. We had the blind set up just to the left of the camera. Throughout, the first morning, 3 deer came through, no pictures. In the afternoon hunt when my daughter took her first deer we had 7 in front of us numerous times and again not a single picture. I was really expecting more out of your product. I removed it from the tree and thankfully, the retailer where I bought it returned it and also reported complaints on 2 other units. Just thought you should know you are costing people time in travel, the gas to get to and from their hunting areas only to be disappointed.

I have the epic, and think it is just ok. Not good at all for hunting unless all your shots are at high noon, because it does not pick up any light. For $140 it is pretty good on my dirt bike on trails and in the pool with my kids. I have some rabbit hunts with my beagle and some goose hunts in Port Austin came out good but all in great light. Not disappointed at all with a $140 camera, it takes $1000 plus to get real quallity vids, and a camera crew for that matter.

Oregon Scientific makes a helmet cam that would be very similar for about $50 less dollars. The reviews on the ATC-2000 are very good. If it were me, I'd go that route.

No if you go on there web site they show bike riding, hikeing, swimming, and lots of other activities besides hunting. Some people although it may be hard to believe do other activities beside hunting. And I did not mean it was not good for hunting, not good for low light. I am going rabbit hunting today I will clip it on my hat and take some vids, maybe even a couple dead bunnies.

Any ads I have seen for the cam, they show it mounted on a stabalizer, or a gun barrel, which would lead me to believe that they are marketing it for hunting. I have never owned a stealth cam, but knowing the probs that whitetailjunkie has had with his, I never will own anything with the name stealth cam on it.
