Anyone hit Burt lake yet?

My Dad lives on the lake and said that he seen a few guys go out there but he wont go yet because they have gotten so much snow. Any buddy try it yet? How thick is the ice? I wont to go up, since I'm laid off, but not until its safe to take a ATV or snowmobile out there.

there were people out there today, but with the rain there is now several inches of water on the ice. right now it is 48 degrees out

Went off Hoppies to 18-24 fow. 6" of black ice and 1'+ of powder made walking tough! 3 of us with tip-ups and jig poles. NADA for a 3 hour tour. Only had a couple of small marks on the flasher.

A couple guys came out with snowmobiles and went N, but moved around a lot.

As UMF mentioned...conditions are likely VERY different now!
