Because I know there are a few guys who for whatever reason like to fish Fremont Lake here is the ice report.
Seems to be about 1-2 inches of good ice under water with about 8 inches of frozen/unfrozen slush on top. Can spud right through the first few inches of frozen slush. When you drill a hole it fills up with dirty water before you even get to the 'good' ice.

Still gonna be a while Wes. Especially with 50s and an inch of rain tomorrow. Wouldn't surprise me to see it open back up in front of the north launch tomorrow afternoon.......

I heard of someone that tried it off the south launch the other day, went out and came right back, less than 2 inches and not safe in the least........

Heck ya, I always have a couple of big 8 inch pike minnows in my bucket when I hit the freek. That way if somebody asks if I caught anything I can show them a nice 8 inch fish. Just pull it out quick and everybody thinks its a perch...:lol: Kind of funny when the bait shop has bigger bait than you catch on the freek....:dizzy:

I was going to take a picture of one of the sections in my freezer Wes and put it up here , but I figured it would make for name callin' & stuff - so I decided against it...

Forgot to drive by after work but the snow is pretty much all gone with no open water. Now we are gonna need some snow for some traction. ;)
