I now own a boat that has three battieres in it. It also has a on board charger. That charger is one of the best things I ever bought. I was wondering though if when the battieres are taken out of the boat for the winter can I wire these three battieres together posatives to posatives and negatives to negatives then to the battery charger to keep there levals up during the winter.

The only way that this will work is if the batteries were purchased at the same date and wired this way their entire lives. If not there will be one battery that will constantly draw off of the other
ones while they are sitting on the shelf. I would recommend that you keep them seperate during storage and while charging.

I agree with Tubejig. Charge them separately once a month.

The diesel tractors I work on have 2 LARGE batteries that are hooked in series, when we replace them, we always replace both.

Thanks guys i will charge seperatly. Maybe some day I'll buy a on board charger and mount it in my storage room. I know the charger I have in the boat is one of the best accesseries I have ever bought.
