Talked to Sylvester this morning...sounds like they got into some gills so far.........couldn't wait for a report later today.:D:lol:

Hit the ice around 7:30 in one of Marks local marinas. Looks like it had been pretty well picked over or the bigger ones had lockjaw. Managed one gill and a nice grouper. Hit the Raft and it was slow there too, mark finally hit on the pattern of dead sticking near the bottom and we started to catch some nice gills. We were both on a short day so we ended around 12:30(started to rain pretty good too so it was an easy decision for me to head home. Not sure what the finally total was but it was looking up near the end.

Wound up with about 9 gills, a rock and I have perch from yesterday! 'enuf fo' a meal!! Thanks harry, had a great time and I look forward to the next time!

No problem Bryon, fishing wasn't very good, but the company was. Mark was on the ice today Grumpus...where were you?? Canals were pretty good as far as slush was concerned, but the bay by the Raft had plenty in places. With more time we would have made a better showing, but with the harder rain it wasn't worth it. Water was cloudy in both places. It was nice not skimming ice off the hole every 2 minutes. Maybe next time.

Gotta work most of the holidays, next possible trip for me would be New Years Day. I'd have to check with the tower, but I don't think we have anything planned. You gotta be jones'n!

There wasn't really a hot pattern, but with the snow and cloudy water, brighter glows seemed to do a little better for me.

went out by the raft yesterday after work... Was out there prolly a good 3 hours ... nothing but dink perch and wetness.... seen what looked like a couple good sized perch come through the hole tho ... no luck .. Orange teardrop and spikes seemed to be the key.
