View Full Version : Tuesday Report
Got back out again today at Ginos. Thought about hitting the lake, but decided on some marina action instead. Tried for perch for too long. Caught about 15 or so, but only 1 real keeper. Moved in deeper looking for gills and finally found them when I only had an hour and half left of fishing. In that time span I probably caught 25 or 30 and brought home about 15 or so. It was a lot of fun once I found the fish. I knew if I had stayed I would have limited out on nice fish. I'm actually glad I didn't though, cause 15 fish was enough cleaning for me.
All fish came on a small orange and yellow jig. And I mean REALLY small. I was using waxworms, and they were really picky about how new the bait was. After I would catch a fish, if the waxie was still on and I dropped it back down, they wouldn't touch it.
Overall a good day, and later I'll post a pic of the fish I kept.
later,
MDH

Good job, thanks for the report. Did you have to walk out on the lake to get in the marina?

Walking in through the propert is tresspassing. Do the right thing and access through the lake. I heard theyve been complaing to the local bait shops about it. lets not ruin this good spot by abusing our privelages!:)
I always walk in through the lake. I hate to see the dudes that do cut in. I mean maybe it's bad enough we are going in from the lake, but at least I feel better about doing it that way.

I agree. Also if it dosen't require rubber gloves, make an efort to pick up any trash. I'm sure thats the bigest thing that pisses people off.

I was there a week ago walked around had access lake was frozen. Got to truck to see DNR officer sitting by dumpster waiting. still with access I seen a guy hop the fence and get busted what a dill weed.
These are the fish I caught. The largest ones were all between 8 and 9 inches. Not bad at all. I forgot to mention that they tasted delicious! Can't wait to get out again.

Fished the same spot today and man were the 'gills and sunnies on the bite. Iced about 15-20 in around 4 hours. Weeded thru the smaller ones I saw on the cam, all were 8-9". Small jig and waxie/spikes was the hot bait today. Also saw two healthy largemouth and a nice pike who kept spooking the panfish on the View. Might try Anchor Bay tomorrow for some yellow bellies.
