I have always wanted to try Saubee/Tamarak in the winter, have not done it. Really looking forward to your report!
BTW: Went out on Lake Lansing Saturday, fishing for Pike and Bass. Got four flags in 3 hours. Only time I've been out so far.

just got home got limet of 7-8in gills 1 crappie 3-4 in ice. 12 FOW.#8 glo demon 3 white spikes. hey jacktown looken forward to wamplers what time you guna bethere. maybe we can meetup on the ice in the morn.will it be cool to park at jerrys in morn.............john

yes at jerrys parking is alright i will try to be there at 830 - will pu my cousin on way - is that all you use is the demon ? and the long poles you seem to do very well i just pu a schooly 42 inch rod and put a schooly reel and 2 lb yellow line and now thinkin a demon as that was one of my first lures many moons ago and i startin using everything else since

ya man the good ol demon thats the first jig i usualy try. its a sz 8 biggest bait i can get away with. tip with 3 spikes. has quite a bit of weight.good in wind--deep water. see it good on depthfinder. if that dont work ill down size.#10 moon glo.thats about all i ever use. K.I.S.S.(keep it simple stupid)thats what the old man tells me .and im realizing hes prob right.as for the rods i make them my self.they make hole hoppen much easyer there just the rite length to tuch the hole wile standing. i allways fish standing up. lots easyer to MOVE. use high qulity blank/broken rod.i also put a sping on the end on of thoes flat ones only about 2 in. hangs off the end kinda stiff gives good action to jig works good for me. if i see ya sat ill let ya use one to check it out you decide. later........john ps this is the most i have ever typed.took a wile

hit a small lake in lansing christmas morn got a couple nice specks.budy got a 30 in pike only fished about 1 hr seems like they were biten good but had to leave will hit it fri nite................john
