Dink Report

Well..........finally got out for the first time this year.:)Hit some local canals in the St. John marsh area. Non stop dink perch and gill action using waxies, pretty much all day.:smile-mad Water clarity in those canals is about 3 feet and the ice varies 5" to 6" by the walls and 2" to 3" in the center.Sure was great gettin out, despite no freezer meat to show for it...oh well:(....I'll venture out to the raft later today....I'll be in a fish trap guide. Probably right out front. Stop by and sat Hi...(If there isn't a 1990 red GMC Sierra in the parkin lot ....it's not me:D)

How was the snow and slush. I am loading up and going today also. Should be out of here around 10 and there by 11. Silver ford truck with matching cap.

It Dinks in the Shores as well yesterday. Tried thorwing everything at em too!! Minnows, Waxes, Spikes, Spoons, no difference in the size. The largest fish was a 4-5"!

Had fun anyway!

Ice was a good 7 to 8" in the canals and has pushed up on and around all the marina pylons! Water was on top of the ice in spots and slushy where it pushed through the ice. :dizzy:

When you git "The dinks" Lift up a coupla feet!!! See if the bigger ones come in then. Sometimes it works....well you know the rest!

Thanks for the tip Mark. I have to tell ya though, I tried EVERYTHING!! When I say I fished hard, I FISHED hard....lol I tried slowin' down the Jig speed, speeding it up, Deeper, shallower, everything...

They will be in soon....i hope!! :D
