My dad and I got out on Round lake today and got nothing... not even a nibble. We started by the access at the bait shop and headed south along the drop but found nothing. Used an assortment of jigs with waxies and mousies.

Now the question part. Anybody have luck on this lake (panfish or pike)? Where/what depth have you found them? Any location tips? PMs are okay if you don't want to post. My dad just retired and wants to get back in to ice fishing after years away from the sport. I just want to get him on the fish.

Any tips on locations in/around Lansing or between Lansing and Detroit are also appreciated. Good meeting spots for us you know?

Thanks!

This is a bit short notice Josh but tomorrow we're having a bunch of members meet up at the raft tomorrow...I'm pretty sure I can get you on the fish - Bryon

Thanks for the invite Bryon, but we're in Lansing and it's not quite worth the trip for us. Some other time.

We fish out there, Muskrat, Lake Lansing, (Not Sleepy Hollow) and up to Crystal. Shoot me a pm, maybe I can help.

Ive had good luck out at Park Lake in the past, about 2-300 yds from the ice creme shop. Its shallow, but usually get into the panfish and perch and some bass on tip ups. With a lake map you may be able to find deeper spots but I think they are a walk. I fished muskrat and sleepy hollow last year and wont be back. Caught one crappie at muskrat, I felt the water was way to turbide and unproductive to really have much luck and couldnt even mark fish at sleepy hollow.
Once Im back for classes to start Im gonna hit up Lake lansing its only 5 min from my townhouse. Any hints of where to go or depth to fish.
