I recently bought a fishing boat that has a couple of downriggers off the back. I'm planning on running poles off the side with planers and then a couple of poles off the back with the downriggers. I'm going to be buying the poles in the near future and was curious on length, action, etc.. Do you typically run longer poles off the riggers than you would with the planers? Same question with the action of the poles from rigger to planer? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Suggest you post this question over on the warm water fishing, Saginaw Bay forum. Those guys have been very helpful to me in the past.

Thanks, I've relocated it, I was wondering where the more appropriate spot would be....
