http://www.michigan-sportsman.com/photopost/data/533/medium/100_8277.JPG Looks like we will fishing before Christmas this picture is from the west side in Belle Ewart between Degarssi and Little cedar point. -2f this morning dam cold :gaga: no wind last night but picked up to 30mph today and the ice held so it made good ice last night never walked out to get a thickness maybe tommorow. Anyway I just want to wish everyone a safe merry Christmas from up here in Ontario and maybe see some of you this winter

Thanks for the update, great to hear from someone at lake Simcoe, your FYI come in handy, myself and a friend are planning a trip your way so all your info is truly appreciated. Keep up the great work. I think I speak for a few members on this sight. And A Merry Christmas back to you also!! A few 12 inch perch on ice in your picture would have been sweat. Maybe next time. Be safe from the States.

I'm thinking about making a trip up this season. So my question is should I go through an outfitter or just head up. I know it is a huge lake so i'm thinking an outfitter but any sugestions are helpfull. TIA:D

Have stayed at INN ON THE LAKE end of cooks bay by Davies point. Nice place and reasonable. Right on the lake. Do a search and if you don't find it pm me and will give you the number and address. Have fun Brian

3 perch that weigh 4 lbs. :D
Hit 'em one like that a few years ago. Had our daily limit of 150 and very few less than 12". We had 10" auger holes and we lost several because we had a hard time getting them through the hole. I had one that was almost 15" that day.
