I need some canals guys dad wont let me go by my self so a friend and i are soming down tomorrow and are staying at the grandparents but would like to find some good fishing any help guys would be amazing or from any other m-s member.

well its my only chance for now christmas break and i would lke to take advantage of it.

try metro off the beach in front of the guard shack.the ice is very safe. the bite is usually consistent although the fish can be on the small side. 5 fow in between the weed beds.
the venetian canal is right close by if metro does not produce. right off south river road.

I went up north yesterday Nick, Dont know whats happening down here. I was at that Lk. you and the "ole" man went to last year, 2 walleye, 1 keeper, 1 not and about 20 perch 9 keepers and 5 gills, lotta snow and a lotta slush on the lk but should freeze hopefully. Mike

ya its good some spots with sluxh on top (the ramp out) and some other spots but not to bad. its real cloudy in the canals. also but alot of safe ice. some spots have a gap between the safe ice and frozen slush aswell.
