I hope it is'nt going to be another one of those seasons.Seems like I've been saying that for 4 years now,why are the fish not getting bigger?Them small ones I was catching 4 years ago had to get bigger by now.

Last year at venetian, I brought back a nice keep every time out. Now it seems no one can get much to keep at all. Those jumbos have to move in here soon. At least I hope so. Give it a little time and I'm sure we'll all get waht were after. Its still only december. Be happy we have some fishable ice.

First ice has never been that great for me. We have shaky ice, snow and really dirty water early in the season. When I went out to fairhaven we had dinks, but with all the unfortunate conditions patience will be a virtue. Once the water clears up and we have more ice i bet the fishing will get better. Besides being on the lake in December was impossible in years past. Crack a cold one and have fun with the dinks.

That's why I have not made it out yet,I'm still waiting for a little better ice and water conditions myself.I am going to do some late season deer hunting this coming week then after the New Year I'll be hitting the ice somewhere.I am just hoping the size gets better this year. It's been a few years since I got a decent amount of 11-14 inchers.I know I am due to get it right sometime.:D

I do fair to good on early ice. I want to hit Captains Cove but I don't leave fish to find fish!!!:D
