Red tailed hawk

I looked out at the bird feeder this morning in time to see a red tailed hawk dive bomb a dove that had been with a group of about 20 other doves sitting on the ground. The hawk came up by the house and stood on the dove for almost 1/2 hour, then proceeded to defeather it, and eat it. I didn't watch it all the time, but it must have been out there for 2 hours, now he's done, and he's sitting in the lilac bushes preaning. It was pretty neat to see all that happen.
