Did anyone attend?

Did anyone from the Michigan-Sportsman attend the Dave Genz seminar this past Wednesday? If so, how was it? Was planning on attending, but the weather report and the 65 mile trip sorta turned me off.

Personally, I took it as his way of saying we're back! The Ice Team fell apart last year for internal company reasons. There were lots of anglers that fish the Trap Attack form Michigan, two of them represented the USA in the World Ice Fishing Championship in Sweeden or something like that. He made it a point to say True Blue which is his team. My expectations were lower because it was free.

I didn't expect to hear about some secret spot on St. Clair. He gave lot's of general knowledge. I did hear him appoligize early for calling Lake St. Clair, Lake Champlain.

What I got out of it is I sit waaaaaay too long in one spot. Move a bunch and cut lots of holes. Yes, most of us move but I doubt anyone there moves as much as him.

Final observation, this was a great seminar to remind you of things that you have forgotten or to introduce someone to ice fishing.

Bass Pro Shops does have Brian "Bro" Brosdahl Saturday & Sunday this week before Christmas. He'll be near the Northland tackle area. Brian is a real good stick!
