you can go to the DNR (http://www.mich.gov/dnr/0,1607,7-153-30301_31431_32340---,00.html) site, but they are not great.

Go to Gander Mountain and they have a map of every lake or specific lakes, but you will have to pay unless you want to risk getting to know Nasty Nate in jail.

These books (http://www.sportsmansconnection.com/) are worth the money, if you buy for areas you will fish more than once.
Edit: Should have paid more attention to the last post! Great minds think alike!

Yes those books are woth every penny, I do wish however that they would make an eddition that was more geared twords icefishing. I have a portable GPS with map chips in them and that works great as well, but I still buy and use the book.

The sportsman Connection books are a life saver. I suggest you go buy one for the area you want I think there are 7 different books for michigan make sure the lake you want is in it before buying it. They show you fish stocking info, lake access spots, road maps and even lodging info definitely worth the 20 bucks. i got mine at walmart

Hold your horses there, you can always go in there and take pix of the maps with a close up zoom shot with your camera. I recommend buying the map book, it pays for itself in just a few short trips. Am I wrong or what?

I don't leave home without my sportsmans connection map for the north east side of the state. Has Lake huron, saginaw bay, higgins, houghton and everything inbetween. Lots of information in them, and to think, Christmas is only a few days away .
