I bought a marcum Lx-3 three years ago. Last year my last time out the transducer stopped working. I call marcum and they fixed it for free. It only cost me the shipping charge of $15.00 plus insurance to get it to them. When I used the unit after being fixed it worked for 30 seconds. I called marcum and they sent out another transducer immediately. That transducer did not work either and I sent them an email telling them what happened. I just recieved a phone call from the general manager and he is sending me a brand new Lx-5 overnight. I only have to send back the old unit with their shipping label. He said they do not tolerate having units sent to them more than once.
I greatly appreciate their customer service and all of the work that they have done for me.
I recommend this unit to any one looking to buy a flasher because of this outstanding warranty and customer service.

I've never seen a guy so happy that his expensive equipment kept breaking. Would you feel the same way if your vehicle had to go back to the dealership several times to repair the same thing? :dizzy:

Man, some of you guys are pretty harsh. Looks to me that he came out way ahead on the deal for having to put up with some problems. I would not mind having a couple of hundred dollar upgrade to my flasher for a few emails and phone calls and a little shipping.

I'm taking the approach of a glass half-full. I think its great what they've done for me. It seems some of you think of it as crappy equipment. I guess you can only wait and see what happens to you when your stuff fails. Hope it turns out this good for you.

I agree Marcum has great customer service. I've had a VX-1 for 3 years now and the charger went bad last season and they sent out a new one immediately, no charge. I kinda wish my flasher would stop working and I could get bumped up to the LX-5 haha, I don't see my flasher breaking any time soon though.

Marcum was bought out, or sold, to Nature Vision.

Based on my experience, Nature Vision does have good customer service but some will dispute that. I had to use them when the bracket on my Aqua Vu ice pro broke. They sent out a new one free of charge. Unfortunately that one broke as well. It's a poor design with all of the weight of the monitor on a one inch wide piece of plastic. When it gets cold it turns brittle and cracks with any sort of decent bump. So now I am in the process of making my own bracket/stand for it even though I know I could call and get another shipped to me for free.
