I've been getting a few PM's asking what the difference is between graph mode and flasher mode on these units. In this instance I had the upper limit set at 3' and the lower set at 8'. The pictures are a little grainy from shrinking them down to a small size to save ms.com on bandwidth.

2X Zoom - shows the from the bottom up to 2.5' from the bottom.

4X Zoom - shows the from the bottom up to 18" from the bottom.

Keep in mind that you can scroll the zoom anywhere in the water column. Good for suspended fish like crappies.

What do all of the different colors between 3 and 7.5 represent?

Bottom.

It is a curved view of what you see on the graph mode.

Hey IH do you have the x67? I didn't know you could put the time on the display. Guess one of these days I'll read a manual.

Check out the overlay data. These pics are of the M68C...same as X68C but with mapping GPS.

EDIT: you might not be able to do it, the time in my unit comes from the GPS.

The bottom. Your lure or fish would show up in between the 7 and 3, kind of like this. Lure at 5.5'
I took this picture in my kitchen, so that's why the gain is cranked all the way up.

Here's how I usually have it set up in one of my shallow water perch/walleye spots, using split zoom.

4X - for when they are tight to the bottom

Here's what it looks like without setting the upper and lower depth limits and no zoom.

Thanks for checking IH.

I may have actually left the ice on time if it was there.:D
