What size flipping jigs do you guys use the most? I'm curious what I should stock up on for this next spring.
Thanks!

Mark - In the large River I fish for Smallies, I use 1/4 oz. jigs that I tie Myself. Flippin' & Pitchin' wood and rip-rap is the game there. Inland Lakes, chasing Largemouth I'm usually Flippin' dense weeds and mats, so I bump up to 5/8-3/4 oz. to "punch" My way in. C-man

Depends on the rate of fall, the forage you are tying to match, and the location (cover) you are fishing. I would have everything from 1/4 to 3/4 ounce and in multiple colors with multiple sized trailers/colors. This type of fishing can be very specific if you want it to be. If you just want to go out and buy a one size fits all, I would get a 3/8 or 1/2 oz. black and blue rig and go for it!!!

Thanks for the input, I'll be making my own but I'm trying to figure out what sizes to pour the most of. I have everything from 1/8 oz to 1 oz.

My friends and most people i have met at the bass tournaments use spinning reels and have good luck with 1/8 oz. jigs. I like using my baitcasting rods so i use 3/8 oz. because it's easier to cast and pitch. But i haven't fished no mats just alot of wood!
