Craig Lake

My buddy's parents got a cottage on Craig Lake and we were thinking about getting a group together to go stay there and do some ice fishing. Neither of us know anything about the lake. Anybody doing any good over there? What kind of fish does it hold?

Straight out from the launch is a submerged island. It usually loads up late in the winter. If you are anywhere near waffle farm campground, you should fish in the middle of the little islands in the deepest water you find. If you set up tip ups, your best bet would be in the mouth of the river. The bay in the southwest corner of the lake gets a lot of pressure but can be very good. That is primarily where they spawn in the spring.
