Multiple spuds. I wouldn't exactly say I "dropped" them down the hole though,, more or less threw 'em down there.

2 years ago I was ice fishing with a good friend of mine and all of a sudden I hear a plop and a lot of swearing, down went his cell phone. So I pulled mine out and called him on it to call him a dumbass. As I was calling you could see the rings on the Vexilar. The next year I did it with mine and he called me a dumbass.

Get rid of that arm and rod and use a vex float. $5.99 and they come with the rubber stop on them. I always put my graph on a overturned bucket and with the vex float it works excellent AND the graph bag stays nice and dry AND the graph is at a much better angle for seeing than sitting directly on the ice..............float on the transducer cord fits in the bag and you just have to unzip the side a little pull out the float/transducer and then re-zip the bag.............

I was in the cell phone store last winter and there was a guy in there buying a new phone saying that his old one is laying somewhere on the bottom of Fremont Lake.......lmao........

My buddy let a 2 liter of Mt. Dew sink to the bottom. He drilled a special hole to keep it cold, but when he put it in it made the trip to Davey Jones' locker. He asked if I thought it would float and I really didn't know, so I told him to give it a try. I myself haven't dropped more than a lure or two down there, that I know of anyways.

GOsh I could right a book on this. When your spearing its easy to drop lots of stuff down your hole. To date, I've lost two cellphones because that stupid pocket on carhartts is so convenient for holding them. Lost a socket wrench setting up the shack one year, multiple jigging spoons that were just stuck in the insulation. We even lost a spear one year, we retrieved it later that day with a big magnet. Lost a ice scoop, and my buddy lost his leatherman one day.

I'm guessing, but if he's icefishing, he probably didn't need to go to that length to keep it chilled, being winter and all. I hope you shared yours with him. :D

I have an auger sitting in the bottom of Bass lake, Was using the drill adapter and the chuck came loose just as I made it threw the ice.
On camp like in the cove sits my spare battery for the vex. When I deceide to deep six an item I make it expensive.

Worst ever was a tackle box full about 50 assorted lures....mostly jigging raps. Other than that, I have the typical losses: cellphone, leatherman, ice scoop, jaw spreaders. Oh yeah, I once kicked in my Mr. Heater but luckily it was attached to a hose. The steam and bubbles coming off it were pretty cool though!

I lost a newly spooled Shimano brass spool down the hole while switching from 6 pound to 4 pound.

It's somewhere off-shore from the Best Western in a bed of weeds where no fish live, bite, or even swim by.

I have had several rod / reels "pulled" into the hole by fish. Last year I had set my hand held GPS on by bucket when I went out to check a tip-up. When I sat back down I heard a splash. GPS's do not float. Oh well It was time to upgrade anyway...

I have dropped lures weights and a pole but my brother ended up getting my pole back from the bottom I have fallen in holes and last year I was setting tip ups and fell through the ice in about 11 foot of water on about 2 inches of ice and let me tell you that water is cold but I did managed to get out with no harm done to me.

Last year dropped a brand new jar red jensen eggs, & a new Charlie Meldrum decoy in Anchor Bay. Now that they arent making the eggs anymore, and they are considered "GOLD" looks like I need to go back to that spot & fish em out:lol:

A better question for me is what haven't you dropped down the hole. I swear there's some type of magnetic pull to the water when I am on the ice.
Cell phone, poles, spud, scoops, nail clips, tackle box... I could go on. I've fished a few items out as well. Also made quite the elaborate rig to try and get my phone back out of 15 fow. I have a pic floating around somewhere of that proud moment I will try and dig up.

While packing up after dark, I dropped a clip/bracket that held the LED light in my fishtrap. I went back three days later, found the old holes, and fished it back out.

I was there! Hahaha So much for Mr. West Physics class, I knowwho didn't pay attention! But me, there's a spud in Munuscong Bay off of Rocky pt, A Polaris got that out and still ridin her today, pliers, pole and at least one depth check a year. By the way last year greaser fishing that same buddy hooks a minnow on a jiggin rap and just put it in the water to see the action it had but forgot to tie it on his line first. ( if he reads this he's gonna kill us)

My friend and I were fishing at Simcoe he had borrowed two way radios from work. We just got set up, had a sheetmetal box in between us, I almost set the radio on it and thought better of it and set it behind me, just then the other guys called, handed radio to buddy, he got done and set radio on box, then doohhh he kicked the box, radio rimmed around hole at least 15-20 times (slight exaggeration) and plop!!! Bye Bye.:yikes::yikes:

my celphone battery came off and fell to the bottom of the lake. I tried over and over again to hook it with a treble hook. I finally had to bring it to the sureface with my spear. For some reason it never worked again.

I have several name tags that use small magnets to hold onto your shirt or jacket. Their very powerful for their small size. I carry one of the magnets with my ice gear just incase I dump keys, lures, celpphone battery down the hole. Works great
