does anyone have a guess as to how big this fish might be?

no, i don't try to snag carp. i got this scale while walleye fishing, using a x-rap. i did hook into something, which i believe was a big carp, while casting a jig that just pulled me around like nothing (10lb power pro 7' medium berkley bionix)
that may have been a snag, and for the carp fanatics, i'm sorry. like i said i don't intentionally snag.
to my defense.. i HAVE legally hooked a carp with a jig before. but I do not fish for them intentionally...
I just might start(the right way), if these fish are as big as I really think they are :evil:

10# could of just had big scales

Carp will hit minnow patterns! We landed a 25lb+ carp in Betsie bay one year trolling a thin fin shad. That carp slammed it.
To take a stab at your original queston, I'd guess at least 15lb Carp left that scale.

that's a big scale there.
you may be able to boil that up with some veggies & have a desent meal.

I bow fish a lot in the summer and I get a ton of carp and they do have big scales the biggest I have shot was about 30# so I would sat it was at least a 20# fish

sorry, i didn't take a picture of the two walleye and two pike that i caught and brought home for dinner...
i figured you guys see enough of that every day that i didn't need to post pictures bragging about how good i am.
