Iam new to this forum and I know most people won't give up all their hunting spots, but I have noticed the public lands I run my dog for rabbits Manchester and Chelsea area seem to be holding low to no rabbits. I do not have access to private land so Iam asking if anyone can tell me of any better public land spots that have some good rabbit hunting in the lower southeastern part of Michigan.. Thanks in advance..

We ALWAYS get a lot of rabbits off of North Territorial road. Pickney if full of them. Ya got decent dogs? Try the other side of 52 on the left side of the road. Walk ALL they way back to the woods. More tracks and bunnies than you can believe. And for you varmit hunters lots of yote and fox tracks and kills back in there. One of my best friends that I fish with "Boone" just scored a 10pt. and a doe there last Saturday.

Me and a buddy used to do pretty good in the Pickney Rec area even when we had no dog.I have not been there in a long time since I moved from Warren to Macomb. It's in your neck of the woods so I think it would be worth you giving it a try.
