The association from my cottage called me with a funny story.
Apparently there were high gusting winds for a couple days. It blew my canoe into the lake. Only problem the anchor was still attached. 2nd problem was it blew it out 150 yards or so in 4ft of water. 3rd problem was the lake iced over but only 1/2" thick. 4th was the canoe was 1/2 full of water now.
So I was already headed up north the next day anyway. I had to put on a life jacket and waders and paddle my tube out crushing the ice up with the paddle. It took a while and a lot of effort, plus I probably looked pretty foolish.
Funny thing was the canoe was stored by being tied to a post and flipped over but the neighbors assure me it wasn't kids or anything just a fluke accident.
