Do you guys pattern your shotguns? At what ranges do you pattern for ducks and geese? For ducks, I pattern at 40 yards and then at about 25 so I know what my pattern looks like closer. For geese, I mostly pattern at 50 yards and then at 35 or 40 to see what it looks like closer. What shot sizes do you guys like for geese? I use anything larger than #1's and smaller than BBB. I reload most of my loads, and buy just a few. Zak

All my patterning is done from 50 to 70 yds, I shoot all factory loads in my Remington SP10, this gun will put between 20 and 30 of Remington "T"s in a 30" circle at 70yds. I do shoot a few #2 early in the season but that load puts way to many SMALL pellets in the breast, The #2 are very good to 50yds on geese, the T's are my bread and butter load though, and there big enough to see and feel in the bird when they do stay in them. What are you shooting a 3" or 3 1/2 " 12 ?

I shoot my Remington 11-87 SuperMag with 3" and 3 1/2" for geese, and mostly 2 3/4" and 3" for ducks, but some 3 1/2" on crippled ducks or long range ones. I also shoot my Remington 870 SuperMag too. Zak
