A developer bought the property that i have been hunting for 17 years.
Its 98 acres north of howell.
I wonder if its the same? If it is I could put you in a good spot.

Gotcha, I hunt on a farm near the airport. It is really a great place to hunt. Too bad the whole place is being developed in the next 10 years or so...

To tell you the truth , I didnt know it was sold till a month ago. last year the oriigonal owner split ownership , and we had permission to hunt it until it sold or developed.I had been hunting it on and off until I saw someone new back there. so I couldnt get a phone threw to anyone , went to the township and found out it was sold the an developer - escivating company. so I havent been back.
Shot an eightpoint on the opener , and saw a few decent bucks. Ussually if the propety isnt planted its used as a bedding - breeding area. the deer move in from other ends of the property.

I live north of the airport and the hunting is excellent. I used to hunt up noth in Presque Isle county on my parents 160 acres, all spikers up there? The past 4 years I have been staying home, it is the best hunting I have ever had? 8pt 17 3/4" inside spread last year. It is to bad that Howell is being developed, that is some of the best farm land in the state. Some day we may need that farm land for food, and there paving over all of it. I moved out there to get away from the Wal-mart, Meijer, chain restuarant pave over every thing mentality and it followed me?
So yes if you have the opportunity to hunt some land out there do it. I only have 17 acres and I see 10-15 deer a day. So you should do great on a bigger parcel of land? Where exactly is the land at (cross roads)

I have lived in Howell for only 5 years, And I live in town, So I havn't had a chance to hook up with any private land. But There are some monster bucks in the area. Last week I was driving from Pinckney on D-19 and in the cornfield on the east side of the road just before that new condo complex just south of town I saw the biggest 12 point I have ever seen. This brute was trotting on the edge of the corn not twenty yards from the road, He had bases as thick as my wrist. his spread was huge, there was just as much antler outside of his ears as there was inside. and his tine length was a good 14 inches. I slowed down and matched his speed he didn't seem to care. This was at one in the afternoon.

I hunt 10 blocks north of the airport on a farm that borders on the river too. Hopefully tomorrow I will shoot the big one, or at least see him off in the distance.
