Do you give your gun/bow a name?

I was reading the other thread about deer guns, & started thinking about the gun I hunt with. It's a Mossberg 500 camo. When I deer hunt with my cantilevered slug barrel & Simmons Pro Diamond 1.5x-5x, I call it "The Venison Viper". When I put the original camo barrel on it with my Comp 'n Choke tube for turkey season, I call it "The Tominator". In the short time I've had it, I've dropped the hammer 11 times on game, killed 7 turkeys & 4 deer. Yes, I love this gun.

I also had a .50 TC Renegade that I called "The Bull of the Woods", & a bow I called "The Whisper of Death".

I call my 30-30 the duke. When I rack that lever action and shoot I can just imagine the richochet(sp) from the old westerns;)

A few years ago I bought a Marlin lever action 45-70 which shoots a pretty big chunk of lead. Native Americans would often refer to an object of power as either good or bad medicine. After shooting a few rounds, my friend starting calling it Big Medicine.

I haven't found a name yet that seems right. I'm kinda leaning towards Maggie. It's a magnum and I'm particularly fond of Maggie from the Simpson's penchant towards firearms.

My brother has a 308 that he calls "Thumper".

My buddy has a favorite shotgun he uses primarily for rabbit huntining. He calls it "spreader" Its a barely legal however many inch barrel. The dang thing is short and sweet. Considering what it does to the game, he should call it "Shredder"
