Just returned from deer camp with high hopes of spending my second week of my two week vacation chasing ducks. Looks like mother natures going to throw me a curveball because almost all of my spots are iced over. The 10 day forecast shows no sign that a thaw is in the works. Its been a long time since I can remember my spots being covered in ice to the point its unhuntable. I've busted ice to get out plenty of times, but this year seems a little excessive. Anyone else seeing the same problems? Guess I better put an icebreaker on the front of the boat.

I live up by Traverse City and I can tell you that the only open huntable water is the "BIG WATER".
Found a beach used my Avery Powerhunter blinds and shot a few Buffies the other day. You need a dog though. Water drops off fast.

lots of open water at the north end of the SLP zone. little stuff is frozen, but that only helps up here.
