? if i slip a plastic bead over my graghite inner flow rods, & glue it in the middle, could the bead cause the rod to crack due to the thermo expansion ?

i love my long inner flow rods. i have 4,5,& 6 footers. they are great for spring bobbers. the line is inside the rod ,not running thru the eyes, blowing in the wind.
the only trouble i have is while pulling fish up. i lift the rod, grab the line, then tuck my rod under the line at the hole, & lift him the rest of the way out. with no eyes on the outside, sometimes the line will slip up to the butt of the rod. the bead will stop this

Only thing you can do is try it on a cheaper blank, if it works great. Also noticed your from paw paw, any ice forming out at maple island
