After market company starting to make light weight hoods for snowmobiles and bodies for ATV's. The hoods will be made out of a plastic/natural fiber mix only weighing 3.5 pounds, and costing $300-$400. These hoods will be able to be painted and patched. Does this sound like a product that you would be interested in? Let me here some ideas or questions. The big thing about this is the natural fibers, made up of grass particals, that are just as strong when mixed with the plastic. Only 25% will be made up of the natural fibers, thus reducing your cost and making your sled lighter.

I wouldn't be interested. The stock fiberglass hood I have seems pretty lightweight. I don't think a pound or 2 would matter much. Not to me anyway...........
