Has anyone seen one of the new bass pro shops flip over shanties in person. I was thinking of trying out the new thermal shack, but was wondering if anyone had played around with them, plusses and minuses you saw with it.
Thanks in advance,
Da Jimmer

I just looked at them ,I really don't see any advantage to them ,they may not sweat as much ,,,,may be if you don't open the door or flip them up the insulation would help

I'm not really concerned about the insulation, more just the quality of the material, and the quality of the poles. My last clam did not hold up as well as I thought it should, so I was thinking of trying another brand.

I've checked them out pretty thoroughly in my last few trips to Bass Pro. The only difference between them and a Fish Trap are the dimensions. I believe that the thermal material on the Bass Pro is the same as the material on the Fish Trap X. If you didn't like the Fish Trap you probably won't like this one.

I all most bought a the new thermal trap but did not like the 145lb weight. If you are pulling by hand not a good idea. If pulling by atv or snowmobile no problem.
