Friday steelheading?

I'm coming from the Lansing area and want to do some steelhead fishing on the west side somewhere. Anyone want to go out on Friday? I've got my waders and fly stuff ready to go. I'm still trying for my first elusive steelhead, but this is my year. I feel it. Let me know if anyone wants to go out with me. PM or public is fine with me.

Are you dead set on getting one with the fly rod, or would you be willing to break the ice by trolling one up on plugs?

I know us trollers are knuckle dragging mouth breathers, but I've been known to catch a steelie or two......

Unless you are set on using the fly rod, I would recommend targeting your first steelhead with a spinning combo and a float rig.
