Just to get some more discussion what's everybody favorite ficious jig?

Mine would be "Glow Shiner" I caught one of my biggest gills ever last season on it, along with a few pike and crappie. There wasn't trip I had last year where that jig didn't catch a lot of fish no matter what they were. A close second would be "Glow Green Bug Eye" Original

"GLOW BUG EYE"
Had one on one of my rods the whole year, consistant big gills and specks. Joeker you may want to attribute it to my superior fishing expertise but I`m too humble to accept the credit. Mike

Seems like every year, there's a Ficious jig that out produces the other colors from Harry. Last year for me it was the Glow Yellow Tiger in the lil minnie size. Had to send another order it to Harry during mid-season.
Of course we placed another order for some of the new colors and another favorite might pop into the picture, but I don't it. Thing of it is, I just have a hard time picking any of Harry's as my favorites, they all have their time and place.

Well with fuel prices coming down, looks like we'll be fishing LSC more this year. I'll have to bring the "Kroger Kid" to do my "light work", I'll have him bust your *****, while I concentrate on the :fish:.

I'm so funny, I really do crack myself up.

My shanty is pretty dark, so I have a battery operated lantern that has a UV light, I just make sure not to make them too bright.

For some reason, and maybe Harry knows but I'm lost, some of the colors glow bright no matter what. You can charge them in daylight or flashlight but other color like glow purple comes to mind, doesn't charge that well it artificial light but is super bright in sun light - Bryon

Joeker51

Bryon.Generally there is a white base coat applied before the glow colors and some of the extra glow may come from the pigmintation of a particular glow color. The white actually helps reflect the light back through the pigment. It may take longer for a darker color to gather the light where a lighter glow color gets a fantastic glow. Nothing really beats natural light and the time it spends in the sun to gather will change from glow paint to paint.

Not a stupid question.

The green glows glow brighter, that's the only one that I don't over charge them. The darker colored glows, I need charge longer. It doesn't take long for the green and also yellows.

I charge my glow green jigs for just a few seconds to give them just a little glow to them. When I've charged them for longer periods of time (I drilled holes on my lantern lid so my lures could hang there for a long time) the fish don't bite as well. I learned that from when I salmon fish, if I charged my "moonshine" spoons for a longer time, the fish didn't seem to hit as well as a spoon that might be charged as much.
For example, last year, I was fishing on a private lake in Lapeer county. It has nice bluegill and crappie in it. Glow green tiger is my fav for that lake. I had a jig charging for a 1/2 hour. When I sent it down, I could see it all way down to the bottom, this was in 25 fow. And I'm talking this lake isn't the clearest of lakes either. So that jig didn't get a hit, while the same jig just 2 feet away with less charge, was getting hit consistantly. Once the charge started getting duller on the 1/2 charged jig, the fish started hitting it.

Na, momma might get upset if he fell thru and drowned  .

He's already out of school today, exams. He's supposed to be deer hunting, I'm sure he's somewhere where there's ice. I think he's been bitten by the icefishing bug earlier than most. He's already gotten his shanty ready, and he's been watching the ponds and lakes for a month now. I might have to throttle him back some, or we might not see him at all this winter.

Stay the course young Jedi, to let the dark side (Joeker) over come you with his evil instigating ways:evil:.

By the way, Nick doesn't have keys to the newer quad:lol:.
