I've used them, and thought they looked great. Caught a few eyes, but I didn't see much difference between my bites on that or the Jiggin Rap. I do like the 2 treble hooks on the salmo better than the nose and tail single hooks on the jiggin rap. I have friends who have done very well on the chubby darters. I'll use them again this year, but may not buy any more just yet.

Last year i picked up a dozen in different sizes and colors. I thought they worked very well in clear still water fishing of hamlin and silver lake. The pike really like them also. Best color for me were the luminecent orange glow, perch, and the one thats the same color as river chubs. Also i didn't need to use bait on them either. Hope this helps.

The number 3 fire perch, perch, and real roach are hot colors. Salmo may be expensive, but they have 100% warranty. If you don't like how it swims or if anything breaks on it, you can return it for a new one. Doesn't matter if you have a receipt or if you bought it 3 years ago, or if you bought it from me or not.

all right, well i needed to pick up something to get my cabelas purchase up to $150 so i could get $30 off my order. I ordered three chubbys: all size #3, dace, lum. orange dace, and fire perch. the only other color they offered in size #3 is perch. basically i paid nothing for them and got $10 off the camera i was buying. sweet:D

you guys helped me to decide, thanks.

These things have great action. They've help me ice a few walters here on LBDN on days when they wouldn't touch a jigging rap. One down side is their light weight. If you are fishing deep, it takes a while to get them down. If there's any current, they can be blown out of the cone angle of your graph. Unfortunately, you deal with both conditions here 90% of the time, so I don't get to use them as much as I'd like.
