I bought one two years ago and love it! I would equate the kick with 100 grains pyrodex to a little more than a 410. I have mine dialed in at 100 yards and have shot two 10 points with it the last two years with out a problem.

I have heard nothing but good reviews on the Traditions line of ML's. (I will most likely buy the XLT Thumbhole stock in the spring.) Not sure if you're looking at the 45 or 50 caliber but regardless a 100 grain charge will be very similar out of both. I would lean towards the 50cal over the 45cal (regardless of manufacturer) simply because supplies for the 45's can be a little harder to find at times.

I'd look at the 200 gr T/C Shockwave and 100gr of your chosen powder. That's the load the shoots the best in my muzzy. Kicks less than my .270. It's the 300gr loads with 150gr of pellets that will get your attention.
