AS started something about remember the best day you had on the ausable...... Well got me thinking about all the excellent days we had so i had to go give it a try. Went sunday afternoon and didnt see another angler any where. To my pleasant surprise the water was as high as i've seen it in quite some time. Took the long walk to my favorite spot and first cast hooked a nice cartwheeling buck about 6-7lbs chrome as a dime. He took me to school and snapped off. About ten casts later and 50 ft down river i hooked a nice little hen 2-3lbs that was also a acrobat. landed and released her. Fished the rest of the run with no luck. I was there 15-20min had 2 fish. Not bad maybe things are coming back around.:)
