denver never wanted him to start with, that was there plan from the get go. he has stated that he wants to come back to detroit. now the whole other issue is who is gonna want him. reports from thursday was that boston was one of the teams interested. so what would you do, come back to detroit or go to boston??? he will have a tough desicion to make.

Easy decision really, go to a bigger market with Boston, and get the money, and play with a team that has a better chance to win it all.

Dice said he would rather retire than play somewhere other than Detroit. I'm pretty sure this was worked into the deal. He just has to wait 30 days.

Doesn't he just become a regular free agent,, after the 30 days?? It sounds to me like Dum-ars didn't want him anymore either. He's probably gonna have to take a big pay cut to come back, eh??

Antonio has said many times he will finish out his career in Detroit and nowhere else. He will be coming back here or retiring. I definitely want to see him back, he really sures up our front-line. He contributes offensively, but mainly because of the great defense he plays.
AI/Rip/Tay/Sheed/Dyess, with a very solid bench with Stuckey, Maxiell, Amir, Affalo and so on. I think it's looking like a Boston/Detroit ECF clash again. Cleveland...i can't see them beating either team.

detroit was trying to get ai this summer with only billups going. this time, the only reason antonio and the other guy was involved was to equal out the salarys going both ways. the players union would have knocked it down if there was to much of a salary swing in the trade. thats just some of the politics the teams have to deal with.
