Anybody have a good load in .38 special for a short barreled Smith & Wesson, Accuracy is my main concern, Thanks, Dave

I don't know about short barreled S&W's, but in my Colt Detective Special I have found a load of a 158 grain lead SWC bullet over 4.6 grains of Alliant's Unique and a CCI 500 primer to be very accurate out of a 2" barrel. This load is not a scorcher, but is mild and has little recoil, esp when I shoot it out of my 6" .357 magnum revolver.
