Last nite while i was squirrel hunting i was sitting there and a nice little red fox came in from the feild and gave me a 55 yard shot I hit him in the chest with the 10/22 he ran about 10 yards and dropped. I hung him in my garage last nite thinking i would be able to take him to a taxidermist this morning to get him skinned and tanned ( im afraid ill just butcher him, as i have never shot a fox or any predator for that matter). I cant find anyone that is open on sundays, i dont have any freezer space. will it be ok to just keep it cold in a bag with ice on it for another day until i can take it it tommorow (mon mornin). Just want to do the right thing and i have no knowlege on the subject. Any advice would be well appreciated.

Hope you guys had a fur harvesters license. You can only shot a coyote with a small game license.

Fur Harvester License
All persons who hunt and trap furbearing animals, including those who trap or hunt on their own enclosed farmland or private property, must have a valid fur harvester license. This license allows you to hunt fox, bobcat, coyote or raccoon, and trap badger, bobcat, fisher, marten, fox, coyote, weasel, mink, raccoon, muskrat, beaver, otter, skunk or opossum.
Exceptions:
Raccoon and coyote may be taken on private property by a property owner or designee all year if they are doing or about to do damage on private property. A license or written permit is not needed.
Residents possessing a valid small-game license may hunt coyote during the established season.
Bobcat, fisher and marten requires a free kill tag. See Furbearer Kill Tags (http://www.michigan.gov/dnr/0,1607,7-153-10363_10880_11001-97423--,00.html).
A person may trap at any age but must possess a valid fur harvester license. This license does not authorize a person under age 10 to possess a firearm while trapping. A Junior Resident Harvester-Trap Only license is available to youths without Hunter Safety training.
