:yeahthat: Lean more towards a 1/16 or 1/32oz and a "nuggie". Or a small jiggin Rap with a dropper and a waxie. Tend to hit one or the other depending on their mood

You are right that 16th or 32nd oz work also but its nice when they're turned on to have that extra dab of weight to drop it back down real quick....... some days however they do want the smaller jigs......just depends....

Glow Green Bug Eye has worked very well for me over the years on LSC, might want to consider that one too. Most of my fishing is in less than 10', sometimes that drift down is what calls them to dinner.

Don't get your hopes up..:( It doesn't work, enevitably one of the hooks will ALWAYS get caught on the bottom of the ice while you're reeling in a fish. I always try it,, thinkin' somehow it'll be different this time.... It never is..

I like a Jiggin' Rap or Jiggin' Shad Rap, 1/8 to 1/4 oz., in white/yellow, white/pink, or Firetiger, tipped with a couple spikes. If that doesn't work, it's hard to beat a Swedish Pimple, same sizes and color combo's, also with a couple spikes.

its got 2 drop shot hooks on the same line so you can run 2 minnows at the same time on one rod

 Really?? I find myself extremely lucky if a hook doesn't hook on the bottom or side of the hole. I'm using a 6" auger,, are you using something bigger??

last year i used a 6" . i use about a 3-4 inch space between hooks so it can;t go to far also this year i will be using a 9".. but like i said i had really good luck on just a lil size 14 trebble.... i wish i had some thick glow paint to put a lil glow dot on the hook man that would be killer!

I agree small swedish pimples with minnows over suspended fish works like a charm.

HUMMM Wally-eye got to try this, i have just been soooo spoiled over minnows with the jig of the day the last 4-5years. I will try this and let you know how it works. can you purchase curly tail seprate and makeup the rig or do you buy them as a single lure.
