Went out with Ryan Wednesday to do a little fishing and we started out hand-lining - which I had never done. Ryan helped me get set up and ran me through some instructions and we were off...
Ryan put me on fish - was happy to get one my first time out :p a nice 19"er on a gold/black rapalla.

It was pretty cold out there (Temps about 35) but beautiful looking up at the stars and then seeing the sunrise. We lost another one at the boat before we headed over to jig.

It was puzzling jigging the sturgeon hole as we had very few bites/strikes... unusual for that area - usually a sheep or smallie meeses w/ you:sad:

Anyways we got 2 more jiggin for a total of 3 one 19"er and 2 20"ers:corkysm55:corkysm55:corkysm55.

It was fun to be out there - great to get some fish - and awesome to fish for the first time with someone I met here on the site.
Thanks again Ryan for your hsopitality and instruction!
Bob
P.S. That boat is sweet!

It was nice to have you aboard Bob! To bad the fish weren't really snapping. I was glad you got to catch a fish pulling wire, that was my mission.

We will have to do it again some time! Talk to you soon.

BTW Bob, thanks for giving me the lesson on fishing. I was the one with the skunk, just so everyone knows... Getting the skunk is good for the sole, makes me try harder next time. Was nice to finally get out together.

I thought about it, was signed up for the capt course and the wife put the kabosh to it!! She said your already on the water way to much like I am going to let you have a license to be on the water all the time.

The only lesson that was given that day was how to get skunked (Bob caught all the fish) :D
