Outdoor Card


The program will come into effect Jan. 1/09 and anyone wishing to hunt or fish in Ontario will be required to have an Outdoors Card. The card will cost $9.00 and be valid for 3 years. These new requirements are part of the implementation of a new licencing automation system that takes effect 2010. The requirement for an Outdoors Card will also enhance the ability to replace lost hunting and fishing licences and hunters will only need to show their hunter accreditation once rather than each time purchasing a hunting licence. Once the paper application has been completed, the Outdoors Card will be mailed to the purchaser's home address. If you have any questions about the program, you can contact Burton McClelland, Manager of Licencing Improvement Project, Ministry of Natural Resources at 705-755-1802.

WE can probably thank the same folks who banned spring bear hunting in Ont.for this extra fee. Not to mention thanking them for the minnow controversy. There doing a great job of keeping more americans and their money out of their country.

If it were not for the Musky action on that side I would tell them to pound sand. It is fast approaching a yearly bengie to wet your lines on that side. Getting a little out of hand.

Guys like me who have many many thousands invested in boat/gear will still pony up but it is getting harder and harder to talk fishing partners to do the same.

:irked:I have not bought a Canadian License in 4 or 5 years And I doubt I ever will again.
This is the same period that I stopped fishing Simco and also stopped going over the border for any other reason such as Tunnel BBQ Casino and countless dollars spent for adult entertainment. Plus my annual trip to Niagara. I hope that the Government is pleased with their increased revenue!

i think this will be my last canadian lic. dont go thru ontario anymore to get to N.Y. not going to send anymore money that way,
