I just typed a long report and damn computer froze and lost it! SO here's the skinny. Caught 4, lost 4, all over 3lbs. orange/gold, purpledescent, and black/gold AC Shiner. Fished 2 hours and got blown off the lake. Pulled line out of the prop twice and trashed 2 sets of leads. Was nice to catch fish, but tough conditions out there.:dizzy: Water temp was 54.

Looking at this site.. http://weather.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/fmtbltn.pl?file=forecasts/marine/great_lakes/lc/lcz460.txt I don't know when the next time will be that we'll be able to get out????:(

Nice job on the Walleye Derek!! With conditions like that, it is one of the reasons I've been thinking to just start looking at upgrading to something like a 17-18 ft. Aluminum compared to the 16.....it could handle the lake better.....one downfall though is it may not be as agile in the river for handlining....with this 16fter I can turn on a dime!

Tick tock, tick tock. To jig or not to jig... that is the question.

Not to jig.:( Went down with the boa to check out the situation. Not only could I see the flag standing straight up, but I could hear it standing straight up.:yikes: Guess I'll have to wait and see what tonite and tomorrow brings.

I was thinking of jigging in the sturgeon hole tomorrow morning also. With it being a southeast wind will it be that bad there?

The SE wind is blowing all the muddy water down the river on Canadian side. I'll do a conditions report later today. I'll drive down to the rockpiles later.;)

Is there a place along the river that one can procure the famed but apparently elusive Canadian minnows? (I know how Ontario MNR insists we all use minnows that have Canadian passports :dizzy:.) Thanks.

Another question - for Castmaster 5000: where can one locate the "got milk" babe you have the pic of in your posts?

Anyone going to brave it in the morning? I have the day off so I am hoping the sturgeon hole will be somewhat sheltered being the wind is suppose to be out of the southeast.
