Of all the choices out there. What is everyones favorite smoked food to eat or cook. Even if you don't have a smoker, or use one, it would be nice to know what your choice would be.

I do have some favorites, but I will list mine after a few days/replies.

I could set up a poll, but we just don't get alot of members checking this forum out much.

Some suggestions to consider

Sausage
Shrimp
salmon
Trout
steak
Brisket
beef ribs
chuck
Fatties
pork ribs
pork butts/shoulders
hams
loins
tenderloins(beef or pork)
chickens
turkeys
wings
oysters
squash
corn
beans

Wow!!! Thats quite a list.... The chuckeye had the best beef flavor as far as BBQ, Brisket had to be second although the Rib Roasts and Chimmichurri beef is pretty awsome as well. I havent done any beef ribs yet so the jury's still out on that.

Pork Butts Gotta be my favorite sandwich. I could eat about a dozen.. Not kidding either. Baby backs have to be my favorite to BBQ and eat.. However,, as stated above, I havent drawn any solid conclusions because I haven't made any sausages yet, so, I can't really ultimately say that BBs are my favorite although to date, yeah... :dizzy: :dizzy:

Geez, I mean, how could anyone answer a question like this in all honesty...:tdo12:

How about I get back to you on this when I go through your list... It shouldnt be too long..;)

I tell ya though, a guy would need 2 or 3 smokers and 5 or 6 refigerators to make all that BBQ....:p

Smoked pork butt - Arkansas style.

Lived about 40 miles North of Little Rock for 3 years and there were quite a few "Road Side Stands" that had some amazing Q'!

Gotta have it with "Shack Sauce" - seemed to be a speciality in those neck of the woods.

My first choice is whatever is free, my second choice is Pork Butt. Dan has me thinking about smoked cheese for a couple days now though.

I'd have to say it is a tie between beef chuck roast and pork shoulder/butt roast. Lake/brown trout a close second.
I do a good turkey breast and my wife likes my ribs better than most any she's ever had... man this is a tough one.

1. Fish (trout and whitefish, then salmon).
2. Pork Butt
3. Jerky
4. Sausage (kielbasa cuz i'm polish, but spicy summer sausage is a second).
5. Turkey Legs
6. Chuck Roasts

this is off the top of my head.... as i think about it more there may be something shuffled around.

Well, its been a few days, and there are some great answers to my little question. I will list my top 5 in the order I prefer, not by ease of prep or smoke, but by taste and flavor!

1.Chuck rolls/pulled beef
2.Beef tenderloins
3.Pork butts/pulled pork
4.Babyback ribs
5.Smoked prime rib

I would add the there is a 3 way tie for 6th with Brisket, chicken wings, and jerky!

looking forward to others input!
