Four of us fished LSC on Saturday, then fished St.Clair River on Sunday. On Saturday we were fishing in a strong nne wind all day,and the bass weren't hitting too well.I ended up with 5 largemouth,3 smallmouth(best one went about 4.8lbs.)and 3 pike.Fished around Grass Island and only picked up 1 largemouth,so we decided to try the north channel. We were fishing out of 2 boats,so we split up one boat went down the middle channel, and we fished the north channel.I caught the big smallie out in front of the DNR ramp in Algonac, and picked up the other 2 smallies a bit north of there. The wind was too strong for fishing DS,so we stayed with the spinnerbaits mostly.Sunday morning we launched the boats at the Belle River launch at Marine City. Our partners headed up river to the power plant, and we fished the rip-rap areas just north of the launch site.Again,we were facing fierce winds, this time out of the southeast.I picked up 5 pretty nice smallies along the rocks on the bank.I was throwing a crawfish pattern Bandit crank.I also lost what looked to be about a 36"-40" muskie right at the boat. Our buddies picked up 5 or 6 smallies up at the power plant drop-shotting.
