Belated sturge report...

Brent and I went out last tue for some sturgeon action..... wasn't met to be. Got shut out on the uglys, but brent did land this....says that its a master angler cat. :)

This cat had a really funky looking tail....never seen one like that before. Must be eating too much stuff off the bottom of the river..

Other than the cat, we got a rock bass and a gizzard shad.....The shad made it about impossible to keep the bait down...they'd strip it clean in about 15 minutes...did'nt even hear the uglys jumping anywhere.... must've been too nice out for em. We'll get em next time

was up there last night....went 4 for about 9 or 10. Had 2 for the smoker....but now I don't:rolleyes:

Did have the entire hole to myself though...that was worth the drive :)

Anybody else been out for Sturg lately?

My Dad and cousin fished Thursday the 16th and did not get anything.
My wife and I went out on the 12th. I think we had one on for a few seconds, but that was it.

Went out this evening (23rd) with my wife. After a 10-15 minute battle, I slid the net under her sturgeon. It was 54".

All I got was two channel cats...

We quit at 9:45.

Tried to fish tonight. Dropped the anchor, and the wind blew us upstream.......................................... .............. So we pulled anchor and went home.

Had a nice one on tonight at 9:20. It made a great big jump and then the line went slack.... We reeled the line back in a found that the swivel broke........... First time I have ever had a Sampo fail.
