Well, the fishing has been awesome. It was real easy to go out there and catch some Eyes this past week. I'll start with Saturday. Sat. night I went out and got 6. #7 brown trout and the new white perch pattern were the ticket. So then I went back out on Sun. night. Got another 6 (after I had to deal with Kicker motor issues) in a different spot but on the same baits. Then I decided to fish again on Tues. morning. I was in a favorite hotspot of mine right off of 7 mile. The big church has a hole in it that always produces. It was slow for the first 5 or 6 hours, and I was about to pack it up and head for home. But then.....I get a shaker on. And I'm feelin the tuggin. Whoa, this is a good fish I think to myself. This thing is really pushin and pullin and shakin. I've got a hoss on. I battled and battled with this thing, and finally, after 28 minutes of pushin, I landed this beauty.

7 pound 13 ounce beauty! 21 and a half inches long. I landed her on 2:13 pm on October 14th. I took her to the taxidermist, but they won't turn her into a wallmount. Oh well, she's been out of the water to long to put her back, so I guess I'll just have to keep her.

This is one of the funniest looking Eyes I've ever caught. I gotta be honest though. Out of all the Walleyes I've caught, and I've caught a buttload, even some that were bigger than this one, this one is by far the most beautiful. I've never seen anything more precious. I get to see this little fish every day and instantly my heart just melts. I'm so attached to this whopper that I even decided to name it. Her name is Nevaeh. Her name comes from Heaven spelled backwards.

I hope that you and everybody who has replyed here remembers that when you take her/him/them fishing, its not about you....Keep it fun and give the guy with the kids a break who is making the noise on the water or ice, again they may not be your kids....but they are kids. That is how good sportman/women are made at an early age were they can respect and appriciate the outdoor world. I think alot of the "serious" killers and catchers (not sportsman) forget that probrably because they were never taught that. Remember, Its a reflection of your personallity.
